Muay Thai was developed centuries ago by the people of Thailand. Muay Thai is known as “The Science of 8 Limbs”, one of the best forms of self defense, and one of the toughest combat sports today. Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai (“nak muay”) thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight “points of contact,” as opposed to “two points” (fists) in Western boxing and “four points” (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.
Our classes are taught and techniques are drilled in a specific and detailed curriculum that makes it fun and easy to learn. You will drill on your own, with a partner, the instructor, and/or on heavy bags, with Thai pads and focus mitts, thus molding yourself both mentally and physically into an elite athlete. With our training, you will be conditioned, tough, and ready for any situation.
